The FACC San Francisco becomes the FACC California SF-LA!

This name change reflects our expanded reach and commitment to serving a broader community, from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

San Francisco, CA – October 1st, 2024 – The French American Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco is pleased to announce that it has officially changed its name to the French American Chamber of Commerce of California SF-LA. This name change reflects our expanded reach and commitment to serving a broader community, extending from Sacramento, Napa and Sonoma valleys in the North, San Francisco and Silicon Valley, all the way down to Los Angeles and Orange County cities in the South.

For over 46 years, the French American Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco has been a key facilitator of business relations between France and the SF Bay Area, promoting economic ties, cultural exchanges, and strategic partnerships. The organization has now taken a strategic step forward to enhance its impact by extending its reach across the state.

California is a hub of innovation. There are increasing synergies between Los Angeles and San Francisco, across strong industries such as tech, entertainment, mobility, aerospace, maritime, etc. Both cities are respectively the second and third largest French communities in the United States, after New York.

We are committed to supporting French and American companies by strengthening collaboration as they navigate and thrive in one of the most dynamic economic regions in the world.” said Thomas Célérier, President of the French American Chamber of Commerce of California. “Our Chamber will continue to offer its renowned events, high-quality programs and networking opportunities that members have come to rely on, now with a statewide focus.”

As part of this growth, Aurélie Brisac has been appointed as our new Deputy Director – Los Angeles. Ms. Brisac’s role will focus on fostering connections and facilitating business opportunities for French and American companies in Southern California.

We are thrilled to have Aurelie join our team and lead our efforts in Southern California,” continues Célérier. “Her expertise and local knowledge will be instrumental in driving our mission forward as we build meaningful partnerships and expand our reach throughout the state.

To celebrate this expansion, the French American Chamber of Commerce of California will throw an official launch cocktail party in Los Angeles on Monday, November 4th 2024, generously hosted by the Consulate General of France in Los Angeles at the Résidence de France. We look forward to welcoming business leaders, partners, and members of the community at this inaugural event!

We are excited about this new chapter and the opportunities it brings to enhance our services and impact across California. Our mission and values remain the same, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with our members, partners, friends, and the broader French American business community.
