Frederick Boelen is a 7th generation wine merchant. With his deep understanding of wine and his experience growing up in the luxury hospitality industry, he and his business partner were well-equipped to open one (now three) wine shops, La Cave, in Normandy, France. In 2017, he expanded La Cave into Napa Valley by importing and selling exclusive boutique French wines direct to consumers. Concurrently, he worked as the Tasting Room Manager, Director and then as VP of Business Development at award-winning boutique wineries, Jessup Cellars & Handwritten Wines, in Yountville, California. Frederick serves as an ambassador for the Normandy region and the Yountville Chamber of Commerce from which he was awarded Employee of The Year in 2020.

After having worked 10 years in sales and marketing for big companies, I cofounded Vinovae in 2016. We had figured out if was not possible to taste a wine without buying the bottle. It took us 2 years to find the perfect rebottling process that we patented. The Vinottes (name of the samples) open lots of possibilities for the wine related business (wineries, vintners association, training academies, online fairs, barrel companies…). Vinovae expanded its activity in Italy and Spain before settling in California in August 2022.

A champion of transparency, Remy is at the forefront of label disclosure, providing customers with comprehensive information. By listing nutrition facts and ingredients on all his products and publishing lab reports online, he allows consumers to make informed choices.
